Kafika House is a high-love, low-cost rehabilitative surgery programme in northern Tanzania. Previously known as The Plaster House, we began in 2008, providing a safe, loving home away from home for children receiving pre- and post-operative care and rehabilitation for a surgically correctable disability. We provide health services for children with osteofluorosis, burn scar contractures, cleft lip and palate, clubfoot, masses, osteomyelitis, hydrocephalus and spina bifida in Arusha, Karatu and Moshi.

Location
Kafika House NGO Headquarters at Themi Hill, Arusha; reporting to Expansion Manager, this role will include travel to other locations in Tanzania
Key working relationships with Chief Operating Officer, Clinical Services Manager, Operations Manager, Outreach Manager, Business Manager, Business Administrator, and Communication Consultant.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop a Global Fundraising Strategy in consultation with the management team and our external consultant, and oversee its implementation.
- Develop partnerships and seek grants from Tanzanian foundations and corporations that are aligned with our strategic goals and objectives. This includes identifying grants available in the field, researching grant prospects, writing a targeted grant proposal, applying for grant renewal, and maintaining the partnership.
- Coordinate Special Events: liaise with the management team to organise events for fundraising, to raise awareness, to build donor relationships, and for local stakeholders at Kafika House locations and major cities.
- Manage the administration of the Kafika House Stakeholder Management Plan for donors. Accurate recording of donor records, contact information, receipt and acknowledgement of contributions and donations etc.
- Coordinate all branding and marking collateral for Kafika House outreach, events, conferences, etc. This includes overseeing stock levels, placing orders with printers, conducting quality checks, and collaborating with the designer.

Education, skills and experience
- Holder of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- At least three years of relevant work experience, including fundraising, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
- Demonstrate proven creative thinking.
