In order to help children, youth, marginalised and vulnerable groups, families, and communities realise their full potential, Rafiki SDO (Social Development Organisation) works with them to advocate for their rights and address the root causes of injustice and poverty. The organisation was founded in January 2005 and registered in accordance with the NGO Act of 2002 with registration number No.00NGO/00006336 to conduct business in Tanzania. 

In order to address crucial gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among key and vulnerable populations (KVP) and adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), the organisation is currently implementing the EpiC Project in Shinyanga Municipal Council and Shinyanga District Council, which is funded by USAID through FHI360.
